Epson wants to help solve societal issues and achieve sustainable growth through sustainability initiatives based on the idea of building social trust, the concept that underlies Epson's Management Philosophy. We do so by complying with international norms including the SDGs and the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs), which call for action across the supply chains, as well as value chain-related regulations in individual countries and territories. Epson also endorses the mission and Code of Conduct of the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA), an alliance dedicated to improving sustainability throughout the electronic components supply chain. As an RBA member, we fulfill our social responsibility efficiently and effectively by adhering to high social, ethical, and environmental standards and by leveraging the tools provided by the organization.
From the perspective of sustainability, a prerequisite for creating the social value envisioned by our long-term vision, ENGINEERED FUTURE 2035, we promote supply chain CSR and sustainable procurement. In particular, in collaboration with our business partners we proactively address human rights and the environment and disclose our progress to society.
