We believe this app is an effective means for improving lessons, aligning with the guidelines of Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology to cultivate qualities and abilities through independent, interactive, and deep learning. Children are full of ideas. We developed Programapping in collaboration with Epson Sales Japan to give children an avenue to tap into those ideas and create original projection mapping content by combining programming thinking with expression and production activities.
I feel that the user-friendly interface and design, insights into which were gained in the development of education apps in our Play & Learn! series, have helped Programapping win over children.
Japan / Communication event with Generation Z
On August 22-23, 2023, we invited members of nest (SB Japan youth community) to a communication event to communicate with Generation Z.
nest is a community for young people aged 16-25 to learn, think, and communicate with their peers about the essence of social issues and business-based social action.
Click here for more information about Epson's NEST.
In promoting sustainability management, Seiko Epson place importance on dialogue with diverse stakeholders. We also consider Generation Z to be an important stakeholder, so we invited nest members to our head office (Suwa City) and Fujimi business (Fujimi Town) for a two-day visit where they learned about the company's history and latest solutions firsthand, while also engaging in dialogue with employees from various workplaces.
The topics covered a wide range, including corporate image, the desired future, and diversity, but all were presented from a fresh perspective typical of Gen Z, with many sharp, to-the-point comments being made, resulting in a valuable exchange of opinions that led to new realizations for both parties.
We hope that this dialogue will have a positive impact on the future shape of the company and the creation of value, and that it will also be a valuable opportunity to have some influence on members of Generation Z, who will be responsible for the future.
Seiko Epson aim to be a company that can continue to provide value for a sustainable society by proactively engaging in dialogue and collaboration with people from diverse occupations and positions, without being bound by traditional stakeholder thinking.

Epson has a memorial hall that introduces the company's founding aspirations and history, as well as a solution center and other facilities that allow visitors to experience cutting-edge technology.
