Introduction of Layout Designs
Here we will introduce some examples of layout designs1. These layout designs have been recognized by the Japanese Patent Office because they did not match any foreign or domestic public designs, that is, they were new, and also were not easy to create and the designs are registered.
1 A term coined by Epson, layout design collectively refers to interior designs, architectural designs, and assembly designs related to product layouts that have been recognized by the Japan Patent Office and the designs are registered. Interior designs are designs related to objects that make up the interior of various types of facilities, such as stores and offices, and architectural designs are designs related to buildings. Assembly designs are defined by an ordinance of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and are designs of two or more articles, buildings, or images that are used at the same time.
