Epson Announces Share Repurchase
- Share repurchase under the provisions of Epson's Articles of Incorporation pursuant to article 165, paragraph 2 of the Companies Act of Japan -

At a meeting of its board of directors held today, Seiko Epson Corporation (TSE: 6724, "Epson") resolved on a share repurchase (the "Share Repurchase") pursuant to Article 156 of the Companies Act of Japan as applied pursuant to Article 165, Paragraph 3 of the same act.
1. Share repurchase
(1) Purpose of the Share Repurchase
In Phase 1 of its Medium-Term Management Plan (FY2026–FY2028) for achieving its long-term vision, ENGINEERED FUTURE 2035, Epson seeks to drive growth and enhance capital efficiency through optimal, ROIC-based capital allocation while maintaining a sound financial position. Consistent with this and its policy of balancing growth investments and shareholder returns, Epson intends to repurchase treasury shares totaling ¥80 billion on a cumulative basis during the three-year Phase 1 period.
The Share Repurchase will be conducted in accordance with this policy.

In addition, Epson plans to cancel all the newly acquired shares as part of this repurchase. We will disclose the number of shares to be cancelled after the acquisition is complete.
