Epson Announces Executive Personnel Changes

- TOKYO, Japan, February 25, 2021 -

Seiko Epson Corporation (TSE: 6724, "Epson") today announced that a meeting of its board of directors had provisionally approved the following executive officer changes from April 1. The director changes are subject to final approval at the company's annual general meeting scheduled to be held on June 25, 2021.

1. Reasons for changes

As it renews its Epson 25 Corporate Vision, Epson has implemented these changes with the aims of further strengthening its corporate governance, and of accelerating its efforts to create a strong organization capable of generating ongoing improvements in corporate value and growth.

2. Appointments and retirements of executive officers

1) Retirements

  • Toshiya Takahata

    Currently director, executive officer, chief operating officer, DX Division
    * He will retire as a director of Seiko Epson Corporation on June 25.

  • Motonori Okumura

    Currently managing executive officer, in charge of safety promotion, Human Resources Division

  • Naoyuki Saeki

    Currently executive officer, chief sales officer, general administrative manager, Sales & Marketing Division

  • Kazuyoshi Yamamoto

    Currently executive officer, president, Epson Europe B.V.

    Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, DX Division (currently deputy chief operating officer, Microdevices Division)

    Executive Officer (currently technology officer, continuing as deputy chief operating officer, DX Division)

  • Tsuyoshi Kitahara

    Professional Officer (currently technology officer, continuing in charge of exploration for new technology development, Technology Development Division)

    Professional Officer (currently executive officer, continuing in charge of specific projects, Sales & Marketing Division)
