Gender Equality

At Epson, we are committed to creating an environment where every employee can fully demonstrate their potential, regardless of gender or any other personal attribute.
We are working toward genuine gender equality by striving for balanced representation—where women are naturally present at every level of the organization. To achieve this, we are addressing to eliminate existing gender gaps and avoid creating new ones by motivating women to seek advancement and by promoting a company-wide shift in mindset, particularly among management.
Here are some of the initiatives we are taking to advance gender equality.

Our Initiatives

Career Development Support

Epson provides career development support tailored to each stage of an employee's journey. For senior and leadership-level employees, we offer training and skill-building opportunities to prepare people for promotion. For younger employees, we provide opportunities to speak with external mentors to help them envision their future.

These initiatives are designed to do two things: eliminate existing gaps and preventing new gaps from forming. By offering fair opportunities, we support proactive career development for all employees.

Promoting Paternity Leave: The "PAPA UP Project"

Childcare is not solely the responsibility of women. At Epson, we are working to establish a culture where taking parental leave is the norm, and we actively promote paternity leave through the "PAPA UP Project."

This initiative includes raising awareness of available systems, providing support tools, hosting discussions and seminars, and setting up consultation services. It not only supports work-life balance but also encourages a reevaluation of gender-based role expectations.
